The Treatment “Medication For The Nation” Tour Announced

The TreatmentRising UK rockers The Treatment announce ‘Medication For The Nation’ UK headline tour for December 2011 along with Halloween show in Birmingham; debut album, “This Might Hurt”, out now on the Spinefarm label…

The Treatment have announced a 16-date headline UK tour for December 2011, with Special Guests to be confirmed; this run of shows comes in the wake of a full European run with Alice Cooper (including dates in Bristol & Sheffield), a Halloween (October 31st) appearance with Skindred, Therapy? & others in Birmingham (O2 Academy), plus an appearance at the sold-out Hard Rock Hell event in Prestatyn, Wales.

In support of this pre-Christmas activity, The Treatment – the five-strong teenage outfit based in the Cambridge area – will issue new single/video ‘The Doctor’ on November 28th ; the follow-up to their first ‘Drink, F**k, Fight’ single/video, the track is taken from the band’s debut studio album, ‘This Might Hurt’

Produced by Airrace guitarist/songwriter Laurie Mansworth and mixed by Tony Newton at Iron Maiden main-man Steve Harris’ Barnyard Studio in Essex, ‘This Might Hurt’ features 11 original compositions (the likes of ‘Departed’, ‘Shake The Mountain’ & ‘Nothing To Lose But Our Minds’), plus a cover of ‘Road Rocket’, a song originally recorded by early-’80s UK rockers More.

The UK version of the album comes complete with 2 bonus tracks.
The Treatment
may still be tender in years, but their influences are largely drawn from the classic names of the hard rock genre – the likes of AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Def Leppard, Aerosmith and Guns n’ Roses; add to this a deep and collective regard for the works of the Clash, the Pistols and early Dr Feelgood (they are called The Treatment, after all!), and you have a band who may look as though they’re barely into long trousers, but whose music is all about big hooks and confident swagger; about energetic, well-crafted compositions, plus the sort of in-yer-face attitude that has excited rock fans the world over for the past four decades.
