ThisIsNotAScene is proud to announce a brand new chapter in its history, with the merger between ThisIsNotAScene (TINAS) and Home Nucleonics (HN). In the saturated world of music reviews it is difficult to find the talented writers that are needed to get a foothold in the industry with so many others doing the same thing.
Naturally, when Raymond Westland, Chief Editor of HN, initially contacted TINAS we were happy to sit down and discuss how we could help each other. A number of different ideas were discussed before the idea of a merger was brought to the table. After several further discussions it was decided that that was the best way for both of us to proceed in order to reach our goals.
We were very impressed with the dedication and determination of Raymond and his team and how much their goals were similar to ours. It was an easy decision to welcome the extremely talented team of writers at HN into the TINAS team and they have already provided several great reviews and interviews.
Read Raymond Westland’s statement on the merger:
“After careful deliberation I have decided to merge Home Nucleonics (HN) with UK based webzine ThisIsNotAScene (TINAS) led by Editor In Chief Ross Allen. Both webzines have very much the same outlook on music, the music scene in general and the determination to deliver high quality output, so a fusion is the logical next step. The new combination will continue under the TINAS moniker, but with the same drive, passion and enhanced coverage. The Home Nucleonics website will remain, but as my own personal blog.”
ThisIsNotAScene has seen phenomenal growth over the last ten months and with the new additions to our team we are getting ever closer to reaching our goal of being the most comprehensive review resource there is.
Please join us in welcoming Raymond Westland and Wolfgang Merx to the ThisIsNotAScene team.
